"I've always known I wanted to be an artist – even before I was old enough to understand all that entailed. (Maybe it started with my childhood love of coloring books – always drawing outside the lines, of course!) Melding passion and beauty to create artistic gifts for others to enjoy has been my perennial mantra. The creative fire within me is more powerful than ever,” Marcella affirms.

Marcella Rose traces her artistic roots and love for the natural world back to her formative years growing up on a farm in western Minnesota. After graduating from M-State, Moorhead, she embarked upon a career in illustration, art direction and product design that took her to Phoenix, Kansas City and Spokane. Acting upon a long-held desire to focus on her core passion for the fine arts, she then moved to Santa Fe. More recently, she returned to Minnesota and now resides near Pelican Rapids.
Marcella owns tranquil Rose Gallery and Lady of the Lake Studio in Pelican Rapids, offering Inspirational Art, including the portrait of Revealing Nimuué, Minnesota Woman, acclaimed bronze sculpture of Spirit Rising™; also, the Nimuué Essence™ and Fire Within™ jewelry collections –– all which reflect and radiate the divine essence within each of us. She is also represented by galleries in Minnesota, North Dakota, Washington and Idaho.
Marcella Rose is partnering with the FM Ballet in creation of 'Spirit Rising, Ballet' based on her bronze sculpture and the 'Spirit Rising' story she wrote in prose. This brings her essence to life in yet another dimension: dance.
Marcella's work appeared in Southwest Art magazine’s “Essence of Wildlife” issue, Feb. 2016. Previously, her art was in The Art Collector, Southwest Art Collector and Cowgirl magazines, among others — including a cover feature in Art Chowder. In both 2014 and 2015, Marcella was commissioned by the National Bison Association to sculpt its Gold Trophy Award, presented to the “Producer of the Year.” She was a featured artist at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum in 2013, and has participated in solo and group exhibitions around the Midwest, Northwest and Southwest. Marcella Has served 3 consecutive years as a mentor for art students with Lake Region Arts Council.
Her story has aired on the PBS (Minnesota) Pioneer Public TV’s “Postcards” program and on the PBS (North Dakota) Prairie Public ”Mosaics” program. Recent press coverage also has included several articles in regional newspapers and magazines around the Red River Valley of western Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.
We are here today, not by chance. We are all called to learn, be inspired and to honor all walks of life, to feel harmony and experience beauty.
